A Macchinetta for every stylish home.

Macchinetta, little machine in Italian. That is the nickname of this Iconic¬†coffee maker. The inventor, Luigi di Ponto, patented the design in 1933 commissioned by the engineer Alfonso Bialetti. Until today Bialetti continues to produces this coffee pot under the name ‘Moka Express”. For over 80 years the Macchinetta is a essential part and a source of nostalgia in every Italian kitchen. But just like many¬†famous Italian designs, it’s adoration and fashionability crossed borders to the rest of Europe.¬†It has truly become an iconic design, displayed in modern industrial art and design museums worldwide.

The classic Moka Express¬†is an aluminium stove-pot,¬†that produces coffee by passing boiling water pressurized by steam through ground coffee. It produces a rich, authentic espresso in just minutes. Nowadays¬†you can find¬†different variations like the ‘Brikka‘, an advanced version¬†for the espresso lover. Or the ‘Easy Caff√©‘ an electric version so you can enjoy¬†your plug-in brew anywhere.
